Dian E. Vega, CMI, joined AVTI’s Western Region office in 1997, bringing comprehensive experience in all aspects of real estate and personal property management from both the public and corporate sectors. Her expertise involves preparation of ad valorem tax valuations for commercial clients, representing clients’ ad valorem and property tax assessment issues before local property tax assessors and appeal boards.
Ms. Vega’s career in property taxation began in 1975 with Contra Costa County, California, as a Senior Auditor-Appraiser. Responsibilities included the independent appraisal and auditing of the business property of a wide variety of large local and national firms. In the corporate environment, she was Manager of Property Taxes for Carter, Hawley, Hale Stores. Ms. Vega then became Vice President and Manager, Lease Management and Operations for First Interstate Bank of California. With both corporations she was instrumental in effecting substantial property tax and operating cost reductions through development of automation as well as computerized controls of all the property functions.
Ms. Vega is a Certified Member (CMI) of the IPT. She is also an active member in, and has served as, a speaker and chairperson for various state and local government and industry tax organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management with an emphasis in Business Administration and Accounting from St. Mary’s College in California. |
