Mitchell W. Wilson, CMI, has been involved in various aspects of real and personal property taxations since he joined AVTI’s Eastern Region office in 1991. He provides client support in both real and personal property areas. His real estate responsibilities include valuation analysis, appeal preparation, negotiation and testimony before assessment appeal boards. Personal property responsibilities consist of pollution control and plant rehabilitation abatement implementation and inventory Freeport exemption assistance. Mr. Wilson also assists clients in the analysis and computerization of various multi-state personal property tax returns, tax planning and audit support.
Mr. Wilson is a Certified Member (CMI) of the IPT, an Affiliate Member of the Appraisal Institute, a Certified General Appraiser in Colorado, Pennsylvania and South Carolina, also a licensed Tax Consultant in Tennessee and Texas. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Miami University, majoring in Finance with concentration in Real Estate, Property Law and Financial Analysis. He also continues his education in both real estate and personal property tax matters through courses offered by the IPT and the Appraisal Institute. |
